Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey started at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd was trained in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing, and wrestling prior to her professional debut at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd built on this victory and went on a 3-fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round of all fights. After that, she went back to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen was already beaten by Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen, and beat her by unanimous vote. Cynthia's record as an amateur was destroyed. Ladd rebounded from her defeat, beating Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to take her record to 8-1. Aspen has signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her professional debut. Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her for a 1st-round TKO. Invicta 16 saw her rise into the Bantamweight division after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her impressive grappling skills to defeat McGill before ending her bout with the third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 in the weight class of catchweight(138.1lb) since Ladd did not reach her weight, but Aspen took on Hoy and got her out after the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she took her victory in the final bout of the promotion in a unanimous verdict. In Aspen's UFC debut came at UFC Fight Night 118 at which point she was up against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina, and used ground-and-pound to win by TKO in the second-round. In her next fight, she beat Tonya Evinger with a more stunning victory. Ladd was able to defeat Evinger within the first ten seconds and was awarded a prize to commemorate her performance of the evening. The first big fight she fought in was when she fought her second opponent in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd's victory was a unanimous decision, and it was the Fight of the Night award came to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in 16 seconds and ended her winning streak. At the end of round three on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In her recent fight for the UFC she faced Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. The fight was unanimously decided in her favor.
