Jessica Ann Simpson Johnson was born July 10, 1980. 1. She is an American actor, performer and charity worker. After performing in churches as a kid, Simpson signed with Columbia Records in 1997, aged seventeen. The album she released as her debut album, Sweet Kisses (1999) sold 2 million copies in the United States and saw the commercial huge success of the hit single "I I Want To Love You Forever". Simpson changed her image to be more mature on her sophomore studio album Irresistible (2001). The album's title track was her second chart-topping hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), certified it gold. In This Skin (2003) the third studio album by Simpson which sold 3 million copies in the United States. In her previous professional career, Simpson became known for her relationship with , and later marriage to Nick Lachey who she also appeared on MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica between 2003 between 2003 and 2005. After the release of her debut Christmas album ReJoyce: The Christmas Album (2004), which was certified gold, Simpson made her film debut as Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard (2005). The singer also performed a cover of "These Boots Are Made for Walking" to be used in the soundtrack of the film. 2006 saw the release her fifth studio album A Public Affair. She also appeared in the romantic comedy film Employee of the Month. With the release her sixth studio album, Do You Know (2008), Simpson moved to the country genre. Simpson has also launched The Jessica Simpson Collection, which is a line of clothing that features 34 categories of merchandise. It's the most profitable known brand licensed by a celebrity that has more than $1 billion of sales up to the present. In 2010, she starred on the reality television show The Price of Beauty. She also judged fashion-related designs during Fashion Star's two seasons in 2012 and 2013. Simpson is married to Eric Johnson and has three children.
